“The opportunity was too good to not even think about. I love discussing spin bowling in all its facets, and being able to do it in an international environment while traveling the world, how can you not want to do it. My special interest as a coach is the tactical and mental side of spin bowling,” Hauritz said, as reported by ESPNcricinfo.

“When you’re playing at the highest level of cricket your game is usually in a nice sound space, but more often than not it depends on how you play on the day that needs the most work.

I believe my career and experience will help me connect with our current spinner groups and support their development. It is an incredibly exciting time to be part of cricket in Ireland,” he added.

Hauritz has represented both Queensland and New South Wales in Premier Class and List A cricket, as well as for Brisbane Heat, Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash.
