DD Sports will broadcast the Indian tour of the West Indies

DD Sports will air the upcoming Indian tour of the West Indies series “to bolster the tour’s accessibility for viewers across the country”, as part of a deal with live streaming and e-commerce platform FanCode.

The tour, scheduled between July 22 and August 7, will be the first Indian series to be hosted exclusively on DD Sports in the past 15 years.

In April 2021, FanCode became the first-ever digital platform to sign a landmark four-year deal with Cricket West Indies, granting exclusive broadcast rights to FanCode for nearly 150 international and 250 Caribbean national cricket matches up to 2020. in 2024.

The deal includes India‘s upcoming West Indies Tour consisting of 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is, which will be exclusively broadcast live on the FanCode app and website with a “user-first digital experience”.

“To ensure TV-only audiences don’t miss the tour, and to make it easily accessible to all those sports fans, FanCode has gifted the TV rights to DD Sports to now be available on all Cable and DTH, excluding DD FreeDish,” FanCode said in a statement.

The series will air during prime time in India, with ODIs starting at 7 p.m. IST and T20I starting at 8 p.m. IST. While the ODIs will be played entirely in Port of Spain, Trinidad, the T20Is will be played in Trinidad, St Kitts & Nevis and Lauderhill, Florida.
