October to February is considered the best time to visit the Andaman Islands. For those who wish to enjoy scuba diving, January to May is the best time to indulge in this sport. The water is calmer and visibility is better for divers during this time.

Flights to Andaman
Indians do not need permits to visit Andaman. The fastest way to get to Andaman is by plane. Direct flights to Andaman are available from Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai, taking around 2.5 hours.
Ship in the Andamans
Passenger ships depart from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam for Port Blair. Each month there are around three or four crossings, with the ship docking at Port Blair and the journey lasting around 50-60 hours.
