Tourists visiting Kerala can now enjoy all the comforts while traveling in a luxury caravan. According to reports, Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has announced the launch of Kerala’s first Caravan Tourism Package, under which tourists will be able to enjoy all the comforts while traveling in a luxury caravan by paying INR 3999 plus taxes per person per night. . Additionally, the fare for the ride has been set at INR 40 per kilometer, while the caravan will accommodate up to two children and four adults.
Reportedly, as a premium hospitality service provider in Kerala, the state-owned KTDC has signed an agreement with caravan service providers opting to operate under the package.
Adding even more momentum to the state’s Keravan Kerala initiative, KTDC now offers a
Caravan vacation package for tourists visiting the region.
Initially, the safari tour according to the package will cover the Kumarakom – Vagamon – Thekkady route, which will start in the morning from the lake shore in Kumarakom and then reach Vagamon in the afternoon, thus traveling a distance of 80-100 km via the breathtaking scenery of the Kerala center. Apparently the package includes a bonfire and a free tourist parking experience.
The following day, the caravan will take travelers to Thekkady Ecotourism Center, where they will have the chance to stay in one of the beautiful KTDC properties. As for the packages, tourists can either choose to go the entire route or opt for a day trip.
Referring to this development, Chairman of KTDC, PK Sasi, said it is commendable that KTDC is launching this highly attractive package as tourism activities are in full swing in Kerala. The healthy package aims to provide a premium experience for domestic and overseas tourists at a reasonable rate, he added.
Additionally, the compliments of the package will include free vegetarian breakfast, free snacks, bonfire experience, tea and coffee in the park, and tourist WiFi.
