When will Virat Kohli and his team travel to South Africa? The Indian cricket team are currently in Mumbai and have already entered a 3-day quarantine at a hotel near the international airport. The team is due to fly to South Africa on December 16 (Thursday) via a charter plane booked by the BCCI.
The team will land in Johannesburg and play the 1st of 3 test rounds at Centurion.
India will play three tests and three ODIs, but for now only the test team members will fly to South Africa.
The uneventful South Africa Tour A has raised hopes for BCCI and CSA as both believe the tour can go off without a hitch.
India Team members Navdeep Saini, Saurabh Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Arzan Nagwaswallam, Hanuma Vihari and Vivek Ramakrishna (coach) have remained in South Africa – Kohli and others will join them on December 16 in Johannesburg.

India vs South Africa series: In order to protect the team led by Virat Kohli, the entire hotel on the outskirts of Centurion has been booked by CSA.
The Indian cricket team will stay at the lavish Irene Country Lodge. On the instructions of the local council, the hotel has already gone into BIO-BUBBLE containment.
Indian Team Hotel SA – Irene Country Lodge: According to reports in local media, Irene Lodge will host the Indian cricket team upon their arrival on Thursday. This is the same hotel where the previous team from Sri Lanka and South Africa was accommodated.

The Indians will be based at the hotel for the Boxing Day test at SuperSport Park in Centurion. Virat Kohli’s team will stay at the same hotel for the New Years Test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg before moving to Cape Town.
