Sony signs nine sponsors for Indian tour in England 2021

NEW DELHI: Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN), the official broadcast partner for the India tour to England which begins August 4, said on Tuesday it has signed nine sponsors so far. Among them are Mahindra & Mahindra, Byju’s, Pan Bahaar, PharmEasy, Ultratech, Fogg, WhatsApp, Cars 24 and MRF Tires.

The broadcaster also said it has signed several brands as key advertisers, including Policy Bazaar, Dafa News, Paisa Bazaar, TVS Tires, Apollo Pharmacy, Castrol, Accenture, Netmed,, Apple, Tata Motors, Wolf 777 news , 1MG. com and Perfetti.

Additionally, SPSN’s Extraaa Innings studio show will be sponsored by the Kent RO water purifier brand.

“We have also received a tremendous response from various advertisers in the housing, finance, education and tech industries and are confident to attract more sponsors as we progress through the series.” said Rajesh Kaul, director of revenue, distribution and head of sports activities, Sony Pictures Networks India.

The test run starting Wednesday will be broadcast live on Sony Six in English, Sony Ten 3 in Hindi and the new Sony Ten 4 channels in Tamil and Telugu from 3:30 p.m. The matches will also be broadcast live on the over-the-top (OTT) video streaming platform SonyLiv.

With the aim of arousing the enthusiasm and curiosity of fans, Sony has also launched a promotional campaign #BackOurBoys to support the India team.

In terms of programming, Sony said its live studio show will have Hindi, English and regional presenters.

The English show will be presented by former players like Sunil Gavaskar, Shaun Pollock, Sanjay Manjrekar and Harsha Bhogle as well as Alastair Cook, Nasser Hussain and Mike Atherton (on the pitch) while the Hindi studio show will be presented by the alumni Cricketers Ashish Nehra, Virender Sehwag, Ajay Jadeja, Ajit Agarkar, Mohammad Kaif and Vivek Razdan with Arjun Pandit.

The Tamil commentary box will feature Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, WV Raman, Vidhyut Sivaramakrishnan, TR Arasu and S Seshadri while the Telugu commentary will be presented by Venkatapathy Raju, Gnaneshwar Rao, C Venkatesh, Vijay Mahavadiep Kanthar and.
