Google Street View celebrated its 15th anniversary. On the occasion, Google unveiled the list of the most visited nations, cities and monuments on
View from the street and guess what, the Taj Mahal of Agra is also on the list of the most visited monuments!

One of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal in Agra is one of the most visited monuments on the planet. This white marble architecture is a symbol of a husband’s undying love and affection for his deceased wife. The monument was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.


We can’t deny the fact that
View from the street is one of the most fascinating ways to take a virtual tour of any important place. The list of landmarks also included the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

On the other hand, Indonesia has become the most visited country while the country’s capital Jakarta is the most visited city on

Google Street View since its launch 15 years ago.

Indonesia, the country renowned for its beautiful beaches, tropical getaways, beautiful traditions, friendly people and, of course, its population of Komodo dragons, is one of the most visited countries in the world. Before the world was hit by the pandemic, Indonesia had welcomed nearly 16 million visitors!

Besides Indonesia, the United States, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Taiwan, France and the United Kingdom are in the top 10 respectively.

As for cities, besides Jakarta, Tokyo (Japan), Mexico City (Mexico), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), New York (USA), Istanbul (Turkey), Taipei (Taiwan), Paris (France) and Osaka (Japan) are respectively in the top 10.
